Projectomschrijving

Er verschijnen doorlopend nieuwe psychoactieve drugs (NPS) op de globale drugsmarkt. Verschillende NPS -waaronder synthetische cannabinoïden en synthetische opioïden- werken via G-proteïne gekoppelde receptoren (GPCRs). Dit project beoogt ontwikkeling van high-throughput screening bio-assays die gericht zijn op activiteit van de NPS, in plaats van op chemische structuur. Nieuwe kennis omtrent GPCR signalisatie zal toegepast worden ter verbetering van deze bio-assays.
