Hepatocellulair carcinoom (HCC) is de tweede belangrijkste kanker-gerelateerde doodsoorzaak wereldwijd. De huidige behandelingen zijn slechts weinig effectief. Wij onderzoeken de interconnectie tussen de ongevouwen eiwit respons (UPR), deubiquitinases (DUBs) en het kankerstamcel fenotype in de pathogenese van HCC om zo klinisch relevante en effectieve toepassingen te ontwikkelen voor de behandeling van deze dodelijke ziekte
