Projectomschrijving

Helicobacter suis is de meest voorkomende niet-Helicobacter pylori Helicobacter soort bij mensen met maagklachten. Het doel van dit onderzoek is om na te gaan hoe deze bacterie en een gesecreteerd enzyme, het gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, in staat zijn om epitheliale celnecrose te veroorzaken en daarenboven de immuunrespons van de gastheer te moduleren.
