Een geïntegreerde celcultuur (ICC)-RT-PCR methodologie wordt ontwikkeld voor de detectie van norovirussen wat een betere aanduiding geeft naar infectiviteit, in tegenstelling tot RT-PCR. De ICC-RT-PCR tehniek wordt vervolgens gevalideerd in natuurlijk gecontamineerde waterstalen afkomstig uit de primaire plantaardige productie in België.
