De RNA afgifte via nanomedicijnen wordt gehinderd door diverse extra-en intracellulaire barrières.
Na endocytose door doelwitcellen accumuleren nanomedicijnen in lysosomen en efficiënte strategieën voor endosomale vrijstelling ontbreken. Dit project wil kationische amfifiele geneesmiddelen evalueren als adjuvanten om de vrijstelling uit lysosomen van RNA therapeutica te promoten en voor de formulatie van lipide nanopartikels voor verbeterde afgifte van siRNA en mRNA.
