Bacteriele type-II secretie systemen (T2SS) zijn geconstrueerd uit verschillene eiwitcomponenten en bieden een modulere moleculaire assemblage voor de secretie van virulentie factoren. Mijn project situeert zich bij de structurele, kinetische en thermodynamische karakterisering van de XcpR ATPase van de opportunistische pathogeen Pseudomonas aureuginosa, en zal leiden tot nieuwe mechanistische inzichten in de werking van T2SS.
