Projectomschrijving

De belangrijkste pathogenen die opbrengstverlies bij aerobe rijst veroorzaken zijn de oömyceet Pythium en het wortelknobbelaaltje Meloidogyne graminicola. Onder bepaalde condities worden de ziektesymptomen verminderd als de twee pathogenen samen voorkomen. In dit project willen we de interactie tussen rijst en beide wortelpathogenen onderzoeken om te begrijpen door middel van welke mechanismen de pathogenen elkaar tegenwerken.
