Project description
The predominant pathogens affecting aerobic rice yield are Pythium spp. and the root knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola. Interestingly, disease symptoms are often less severe when Pythium and nematodes occur together. In this project the interaction between rice and the two root pathogens will be studied to elucidate through which mechanisms Pythium and root knot nematodes counteract each other.
