Project description
This PhD constitutes an important addition to current research on multiple authorship in the nineteenth century, which focuses mainly on writers couples, but has given little attention to the role of salons and writing networks. A theoretical frame of reference (Bourdeu,Butler) is applied to a series of case studies, followed by an exanination of the economic aspect of multiple autorship.
