Project description

We will examine the mechanisms how particulate matter inhalation promote allergic sensitization. More specifically, we will study how diesel exhaust particles affect the communication between airway epithelium and lung dendritic cells, since these cells are critical in inducing allergic inflammatory responses in the lung.
