Projectomschrijving
Dit project wenst meer inzicht te verwerven in de rol van leverstamcellen bij het ontstaan of de evolutie van leverziekten zoals leverkanker, livercirrhose, leversteatose en chronische infecties van de lever met hepatitis B en hepatitis C virussen. Het IUAP consortium wil nieuwe “in vitro” en “in vivo” modelsystemen ontwikkelen om de rol van de leverstamcel in de hiervoor vermelde ziektebeelden te bestuderen.
