Project description
This project aims to investigate the role of carnosine, a dipeptide consisting of beta-alanine and histidine and with a high muscle concentration, on the homeostasis during contractions. Additionally, we investigate the influence of carnosine availability on the development of skeletal muscle insulin resistance and diabetes.
