Synthese van alfa-galactosylceramide (KRN 7000) analogen met potentiële inductie van een gepolariseerd cytokineprofiel (Th1 of Th2) door NKT cellen. De vooropgestelde modificaties beogen een verbeterde bindingsaffiniteit met het CD1d proteïne wat aanleiding moet geven tot een verhoogde Th1 respons.
