Project description
Ethiopia has descended into inter-communal violence and rocked by armed conflict following the 2018 transition that brought unprecedented reform measures intended to widen the democratic space. Employing the ethnographic research approach, this study explores the production of inter-communal violence, how violence operates and is linked to democracy, and strategies by which the impact of violence can be lessened in the context of the transition in Ethiopia.
