Projectomschrijving

Dit onderzoek stelt zich tot doel om vroegtijdige objectieve neurosensoriële biomarkers te definiëren voor de detectie van artroprothetisch kobaltisme aan de hand van een uitgebreide auditieve en vestibulaire testbatterij. Artroprothetisch kobaltisme verwijst naar de systemische toxische reacties veroorzaakt door het vrijkomen van hoge dosissen vrije kobalt ionen in de bloedbaan door slijtage van metaal-op-metaal heupprothesen
