Project description
Het doel van het project is de bijdrage en regulatie van Cx43 hemikanalen in cardiale arrhythmogenese te bestuderen. De studie is gebaseerd op het meten van unitaire hemikanaalstromen in cardiomyocyten, en de geleidingssnelheid in multicellulaire preparaten en intacte harten. Het project zal bijdragen tot een beter inzicht in de rol van hemikanalen als mogelijk doelwitten voor de behandeling van hartbeschadiging.
