Project description
 

Pathological conditions of the placenta have significant effects on the health of fetus and mother. In mares, pathological conditions, such as fetal growth retardation, placentitis and hydrops, are associated with compromised placental vascularization. Using high-throughput data, we aim to gain insight into the regulatory mechanisms of vascularization in the normal and abnormal placenta and provide fundamental information on placental development.
