Project description

In this stufy lectins and corresponding glycoproteins on the flagella and plasmamenbranes of male and female gametes of the Brown alga Ectocarpus siliculosus will be isolated using affinity columns. Partial protein sequences will subsequently be linked to the corresponding loci in the Ectocarpus genome.
