Project description

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is an important player in muliple myeloma (MM) pathogenesis. We observed that increasing intracellular cAMP levels blocks IL-6 expression in MM cells. In this study we will investigate the contribution of the different caMP receptors (PKA versus epac) to this effect and find out which signal transduction cascades are targeted by cAMP.
