This agreement involves the implementation of a one-year work program, which is oriented around the following priority research points. - In the context of sustainable forest management and ecological afforestation, longer operating times and more hardwoods are central, is a technological-economic evaluation of the production under this policy or produce wood necessary. - In the context of the various breeding programs, programs at the Institute for Nature and Forest is looking for cooperation for wood quality assessment -technical and distribution products. But under the bosecologische research and research related to forest protection a demand for supporting research is related with wood quality and technology. - There is little known in Flanders what happens to the wood produced. The mapping of specific timber flows then be started. - Since half of the hardwood produced in Flanders consists of poplar is imperative that this resource is maximized by developing future-oriented wood products with a higher added value.
