Project description

In Ethiopia, 67% of women of reproductive age group have folate levels that put them at risk of giving birth to a child with neural tube defects. Rural populations have limited access to commercially fortified foods. The study aims to evaluate the feasibility of a small-scale fortification model and its effectiveness in improving folate status and anemia among teenage girls in Ethiopia.
