Project description
This research explores the nature and evolution of airline networks using the theory of weighted complex network. The formation of current airline networks is largely due to the market concentration. This topic then examines the market structure and competition in the airline industry. Finally, relationships among network structure, market competition and the yield which represents the profitability of an airline are statistically analyzed.
