Project description

The Schrödinger equation is one of the most important equations in quantum mechanics. The
numerical solution of this problem is not trivial, given the oscillatory nature of the solutions.
Advanced numerical techniques are needed to efficiently solve such a problem. The aim of this
project is the further development of a new numerical method that currently presents itself as very
promising for
two-dimensional problems and the construction of an extension to three-dimensional problems. In
addition, the aim is to implement both methods in an accessible, user-friendly package.
