Project description

Mycosphaerella graminicola is a fungus that globally causes major losses in wheat cultivation. Disease control is mainly based on fungicides, but mutations in the CYP51 gene encoding the target protein of the fungicides, can lead to fungicide resistance. This project investigates the co-evolution between certain variations in CYP51 and resistance, and the influence of several cultivation measures on this process.
