Project description
This project focuses on the production of nutritional microbial protein through valorization of side streams originating from the dairy industry. Specifically fermented and non-fermented cheese whey permeate. The aim of the project is threefold: (i) optimization of selective lactic acid fermentation (ii) designing of high performing synthetic microbial protein community (iii) Recovering of microbial protein production side streams
