Om het vertrouwen van zijn burgers te versterken en bedrijven te helpen concurreren met internetgiganten, loopt Vlaanderen voorop in de race om een nieuwe standaard voor gegevensbescherming. Een overheidsinvestering van 7 miljoen euro geeft een belangrijke impuls aan de praktische toepassing van een technologie die Solid heet. Drie Vlaamse topuniversiteiten bundelen hun krachten in SolidLab Vlaanderen.
