Project description
Taking into account the biodiversity of foodborne B. cereus, information will be gained with regard to growth kinetics, gene expression and toxin production in the gastro-intestinal ecological environment using batch cultures and a Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME). Detection of toxin production will be elaborated via HPCL-MS, real-time PCR performed for monitoring B. cereus cells and gene expression.
