Project description

The health-improving capacities of iminosugars have been longtime known, yet their function is poorly understood and their potential far from fully exploited, due to their restricted availability. Indeed, production is unstable and prices skyrocket. To improve their supply and enable further research and drug development, this PhD lays the foundation for a microbial production process of these promising compounds.
