Project description

This project focuses on courtly love in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance philosophy of love and the baroque ideal of "galanterie". It will examine how these conceptions of differ, what they have in commun. The study explores how the philosophy of love (and the different forms of courtly love) played a crucial role in the emerging Modernity.
