Projectomschrijving

De focus ligt op het ontwikkelen van een superabsorberend polymeer (SAP) teneinde een beton vrij van krimpscheuren (door interne nabehandeling) dat ook zelfhelend is te bekomen. De commerciële SAPs hebben een te lage zwelcapaiciteit in het alkalisch milieu van beton. De ontwikkeling van een nieuwe SAP met een hogere zwelcapaciteit in alkalisch milieu is daarom noodzakelijk. Deze SAP zal worden getest in betonmonsters.
