Project description

Of this Project innovativeness will consist of fast off-line to onderzoekn (mass spectrometry-based electronic nose technology or MS-nose TECHNOLOGY and Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry or SIFT-MS) and in-line (convetionele electronic nose, or e-nose) detection and optimize, specifically targeting strong odor compounds from packaging materials. Females will experience gained with paper / cardboard (among others with low odor inks, printing processes, coatings, ...) are extended to printed polymeric packaging. Also for this polymer supports rapid analysis techniques will be developed. Both the migration profile as the migration behavior of non-volatile components of inks and adhesives will be identified and evaluated. There will also be obtained a better picture of the effect of lamination, printing and other processes during the production of packaging materials on the migration behavior of the final packaging. Also this TETRA project will be extended to newly developed bio-inks and biolijmen which gradually to win market segment. On the basis of the obtained results will be developed a quality control system that can be implemented in the packaging industry. On the basis of guidelines as part of the IMP will attempt to provide objective information on the migratiearm and low odor producing packaging manufacturers of innovative packaging materials for food. However, this knowledge transfer will also have an economic focus for the food industry since the valorisation process will focus also on this sector.
