The starting point of this research lies in the economical (the child as consumer) and political changes (the child as citizen) that took place in the lifeworlds of children during the second half of the 20th century in the Western countries. This research aims at mapping the implications of these sociatal changes for our constructions of today's childhood as well as for the actual lifeworlds of children.
