Project description
The project aims at investigating friction and wear reduction in lubricated contacts of non ferrous lightweight materials and coatings. The mechanisms behind enhanced performance of boundary tribofilms formed by novel halogen gree, non-corrosive ionic liquids will be studied. The influence of different parameters such as materials, geometry, load, speed will be examined.
