Clinical counselling for an active lifestyle in Turner Syndrome (TS) patients is believed to be important for the prevention and treatment of co-morbidities and to improve quality of life (QoL). In absence of an evidence base, clinical practices currently rely on universal guidelines in the general population while a multifaceted syndrome potentially requires a more patient-centered approach. To move towards the development of specific guidelines to promote an all-round 24-hour active lifestyle in TS patients, an in depth understanding of 24-hour movement behaviors (24-HMBs) and their association with clinical parameters and QoL is needed. The overall aim of this project is to unravel 24-HMBs in TS patients across the lifespan and gain insight in the associations with TS patients’ clinical profile, including QoL and its related mechanisms. Secondly, this study aims to explore the feasibility of developing, implementing and evaluating a co-creative intervention to optimize TS patients’ 24-HMBs.
