The aim of this project is to investigate the performance of the state-of-the-art digital communication systems in the case of imperfect channel knowledge. Moreover we intend to develop new advanced receiver algorithms that can cope with realistic time-varying multi-path fading channels, while fully exploiting the inherent potential of the employed transmitter schemes and preserving a reasonable implementation complexity.
