Sustainable Management of Marginal Drylands Phase II focuses on building the capacity of dryland researchers to transfer their scientific findings for use in policy-level decision-making through the development of evaluation approaches fostering sustainable land and water management. This will be done through a participatory approach, involving local communities (landowners, farmers and other stakeholders). Analysis of current and on-going community-level strategies for coping with changing dryland conditions, also in the context of global (including climate) change, will be essential.
