Project description

Conventional satellite communication is SISO (single-input single-output), meaning that both the transmitter and receiver are single-antenna. MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) techniques have been applied to terrestrial digital wireless digital communications, significantly improving their performance by introducing multi-antenna transmitters/receivers. The aim of this research is to investigate and develop MIMO techniques for communication over the non-linear satellite channels to pursue comparable improvements.
