prophylactic treatment F4/18+ E. coli F4- and F18 receptor

Project description

In this project, we will firstly develop a screening system for inhibitors of F4+ and F18+ E. coli adhesion to intestinal receptors. Secondly, we aim to develop a prophylactic treatment against F4+ and F18+ E. coli infections in pigs. Hereto, we will use our fundamental knowledge of the F4- and F18 receptors involved in adherence.
