Project description

Epidemiological research has demonstrated that the consumption of red meat is associated with the development of colon cancer. This will be investigated by adding meat digests to colon cell lines and mapping the observed metabolic changes. The obtained results will be validated in rats and finally certain protective compounds will be tested in vitro.
