Joint Sensing and Communication (JSAC) represents a paradigm shift in wireless systems by realizing data transmission, localization and environmental sensing using a single communication system. This research aims to explore the potential of JSAC for next-generation networks, focusing on spectral efficiency, resource allocation, and system optimization. We will develop novel algorithms to enable dynamic trade-offs between sensing and communication performance, leveraging advancements in signal processing and machine learning, including novel machine learning methods for foundation models and accurate positioning.
