Project description
Hydrothermal liquefaction, a high temperature and high pressure conversion process in an aqueous environment, is used to treat mixed sewage sludge and agricultural residue containing feedstocks into biocrude as a fuel replacement or for chemical compound recovery. Nutrient recovery from the aqueous phase is considered and the valorization potential of the solid residue from conversion is studied as well.
