Project description
This research project focusses on the pollination of sweet cherry by wild bees and other pollinators. First the added value of this natural pollination service for cherry cultivation in Belgium shall be studied. Then we will study how this natural pollination service can be applied in fruit cultivation in a sustainable and cost-efficient way. This will promote the rendability of agriculture and as well as the the biodiversity and the reputation of the sector
