Project description
Genetic profiling of macrophages from various tissues has demonstrated their astonishing diversity, suggesting that each macrophages is profoundly adapted to its tissue of residence. We propose to identify the liver macrophages specific transcription factors and utilize genetically modified mice to specifically silence these transcription factors in liver macrophages. This approach should highlight wich factors drive the development of these cells.
