Luminescente zonlicht concentratoren zijn zeer veel belovend om energie-conversie te combineren met architecturale eisen. In dat verband zijn halfgeleider quantum dots bijzonder geschikt voor de spectrale conversie en het herrichten van het ingevangen licht in de concentrator.
