As fine-grained scheduling of individual traffic flows quickly reaches its limits, solutions must be sought in involving the end devices in the overall network optimization. This project studies nextgeneration transport layer protocols that consider more detailed information regarding the network state, leveraging state-of-the-art telemetry and protocol stack programmability, and intelligently adapt their operation to the network state.
