Main aim of this project is to establish whether names (first names, surnames, nicknames) play a role in one's understanding of 'oneself' as well as of 'the other' in a multicultural and multilingual context such as that found on the campus of the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. About 800 questionnaires are analysed to that intent.
