Project description

Membrane fouling is a big problem in membrane-based wastewater treatment. On of the causes of this phenomenon is micro-organisms and the sticky transparent exopolymer particles (TEP) which they shed. This research has to elaboratte the importance of TEP is waste and surface water and the influence on membrane fouling. Different pathways will be followed in order to prevent fouling caused by TEP.
