Projectomschrijving

Vaak wordt verondersteld dat hypervigilantie voor lichamelijke sensaties een rol speelt bij medisch onbegrepen pijn. Een theoretische basis en empirische evidentie ontbreekt echter. Dit project onderzoekt hypervigilantie voor lichamelijke sensaties vanuit een nieuwe theoretische benadering, die stelt dat hypervigilantie een functioneel mechanisme is dat geactiveerd wordt in situaties waarin patiënten lichamelijke dreiging ervaren.
