Project description

This project investigates spillovers from foreign to domestic firms. Three types of characteristics determine the direction and magnitude of spillovers. Therefore positive spillovers are conditional rather than automatic. We consider spillover to depend on ‘demand’ side characteristics (domestic firms’ characteristics), ‘supply’ side characteristics (foreign subsidiaries’ characteristics), and ‘environment’ characteristics (industry, national, and regional characteristics).
