Project description

This research focuses on nutrient recovery from manure and biowaste used in biogas installations.
As part of the research, three different innovative processes (ammonia stripping, membrane filtration and evaporation/condensation) that can be used to retrieve nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium will be mapped. The mass flow analyses will determine the fate of each component throughout the biorefinery process, resulting in renewable biobased fertilisers.
